Within a dotted circle, Byzantine-style bust facing, wearing diadem with pendilia, holding sceptre and globus cruciger. Rev. Within a dotted circle, ‘Fakhr al-Dīn Bahr/āmshāh ibn Dāwū/d ibn Isḥāq nāṣir / amīr al-muʾminīn / sana thalāth’, to right, ‘wa sittīn’ (‘Fakhr al-Din Bahram Shah, son of Daʾud, son of Ishaq, helper to the Commander of the Believers. Year [5]63’ in Arabic). Album 1892.1. Very rare and unusually well preserved, with a superb reverse. The obverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, about extremely fine.
